What is egg donation

Although the success of ART treatment is very high, not all couples can achieve pregnancy using their own eggs or sperm. Therefore to create a family these couples have only two ways - to take a donor egg or sperm, or to go through a long and difficult adoption process.

Our knowledge and experience

We are proud of our team of specialists in the field of reproductive technologies, which includes some of the best reproductologists, embryologists and geneticists from all over Europe. Thanks to them, NGC has over 20 years of experience in the field of infertility and reproduction.

Donor online database

A unique opportunity to choose donor eggs on the website. 10 different parameters for searching, sorting and selecting a donor through more than 35 parameters which include the photos of the donor’s children, voice recording and a motivation letter.

genetic passport of the donor

The genetic passport of the donor

Egg donors are examined for the carriage of hereditary monogenic diseases, which excludes frequent mutations in our country.

For a patient who is choosing a donor it is extremely important to know, that the donor does not carry any mutations, which in turn can be found in the patient.

Our egg donors are women

Our egg donors are women under 30 who have their own children

The managers of our donor programs carry out the selection of the candidates for donors very carefully - the following can become donors:

  • Those who have a complete list of medical examinations and tests from a gynecologist, therapist, psychologist
  • Age-less than 30 years
  • Excellent health and external looks
  • Presence of children and a higher education

Our Results

In IVF and ICSI programs with fresh donor eggs, we usually carry out the embryo transfer (ET) of one embryo (of the highest quality) and freeze the remaining embryos in the cryobank. The effectiveness of programs with donor eggs is 65%. If the pregnancy does not occur, then we thaw the frozen embryos from the cryobank for subsequent IVF procedures, the cumulative effectiveness of which reaches 85%.

The highest efficiency (up to 74.4% for a successful pregnancy) is brought by donor programs with preimplantation genetic screening (diagnostics) through NGS - which is a selection of the best embryos in terms of morphology and genetics.

Possibility of carrying out vitrification

The freezing of the embryos with good morphology is a chance to give birth to healthy children in the future, without the need to incur additional costs for stimulation and puncture.

Transport donor programs with a 1 day visit to the clinic

Transport donor programs with a one-day visit to the clinic are possible if your local gynecologist is ready to conduct ultrasound-monitoring of endometrial growth. Most egg donation programs require just one day stay of each of the partners at the clinic (sperm delivery for the spouse and embryo transfer for the spouse).

No waiting lists

We do not have such a concept as a "waiting list" or "queue for a donor" - we provide more than 100 suitable fresh donors for you, ready to start stimulation at a convenient time. If the cryo protocol is chosen, more than 1000 egg cells are vitrified in our donor bank.

Who can be recommended for the donor egg program?

Pros and cons of egg donation
A couple where a woman can not produce her own eggs.
Mostly we are talking about women who did not reach the development of the ovaries or both ovaries were removed during an operation. In addition, women affected by a premature ovarian failure - they are also recommended donor eggs.
Couples where a woman does not produce eggs of good enough quality
This includes women who underwent repeated infertility treatment by in vitro fertilization and no qualitative eggs were extracted or qualitative embryos developed. In addition, women who are older, they can have their own eggs, but of a lower quality. Those are not suitable for fertilization or the development of a quality embryo, which will not be able to form in the womb of the mother.
Couples where a woman is a carrier of hereditary diseases
In these women, genetic testing reveals a change in chromosomes, which can then be passed on to future offspring.

Treatment Program

The scheme of the treatment program using donated eggs depends on whether the recipient has a menstrual cycle or not.

Treatment Program
In patients with a preserved menstrual cycle:
Before the program,GnRH analogues (Diphereline, Decapeptyl, Zoladex) are injected. They neutralize the patient's own hormonal cycle, the menstruation stops, the ovaries stop working. The injection lasts about three weeks, and then the patient starts taking estrogens. After 12-16 days of taking medication, ultrasonic examination of the endometrium is performed and if everything is favorable, the patient is ready for implantation of the embryo. This way, the patient is ready for the egg donation program with the help of estrogen intake within 6 weeks.
In patients without menstruation:
With the help of hormonal drugs menstruation is provoked and the patient begins the preparation with the help of estrogens.
During the preparation of the endometrium, the recipient is synchronized and the donor is stimulated. After the eggs mature, the eggs are extracted from the donor and the resulting egg cells are fertilized with the sperm of the recipient's spouse (both fresh and frozen spermatozoa). From the day the egg is received from the donor, the recipient will bel taking a hormone called progestagen (Utrogestan, Crinone), which prepare the uterus for the implantation of the embryo. The next day after the eggs are received and fertilized, the recipient couple are informed about the quality of the embryos and the amount received(by phone). After cultivating the embryo for 3-6 days, one or two embryos are transferred to the uterus of the recipient-the future mother. The remaining embryos of good quality can be frozen.
After transferring the embryos, the recipient continues to take estrogen and progestogen medications for 10-14 days, until the pregnancy test, which is performed by checking the blood (hCG). When the test is positive, the patient continues to take these hormones for the next 2 months. If a pregnancy test is negative , the patient stops taking the medication.

Decision Making Process

The recipient of the donor eggs usually has a lot of fears and anxieties, many questions that they would like to be answered.

Do not hesitate to ask for help. Consulting with a person who knows what the egg donation program is will be of great help for you.The person will talk with you about a donor, answer your questions and could support you in making a decision.

Solving the problem takes time. You have to be 100% sure of all the issues related to your decision, the future of your family depends on it, and one more small member for whom you make the decision.
